Chair of Butterwick Pinchbeck’s Endowed C of E Primary School
Welcome to the governor area of our website. My name is Vivienne Tegg. I am very proud to have served on the Governing Body for a number of years as a Local Authority Governor.
My job as the present chair is to work with the other Governors of the Governing Body and the Head Teacher, as a team, to carry out our wide range of roles and responsibilities efficiently and effectively for the benefit of our young people in the School and the education service.
Every term there is at least one meeting of the Full Governing Body and the Pay Committee meet once a year.
The role of the Governing Body at Butterwick Primary School is to:
- Ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
- Holding the Head teacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils
- Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent
We as a Governing Body do not lose sight of “Children First” and the school's vision :- Everyone is valued for their individuality, culture and diversity.
As chair, I meet Mrs Towers (The Head Teacher) on a regular basis, attend school assemblies plus other functions inside and outside of school.
In order to educate our young people to their full potential, I believe in a close working partnership between pupil, parent, school and the community and will endeavour to work to achieve this aim.
