Biggest Ever Football Session

On Wednesday 8th March we joined England Football, Barclays and other schools across England to take part in the Biggest EVER Football Session #LetGirlsPlay – supporting giving girls equal access to football in school.

By 2024, The FA’s and Barclays ambition is for girls to have the same football opportunities as boys in schools and clubs. #LetGirlsPlay is a campaign to drive influence and change perceptions, showing that football can and should be played by girls. It is bringing together a growing community of people of all genders, ages and back grounds who want to champion equal access for girls, helping create independent, resilient young girls who will be a force for good in all local communities.
Our Girls football team made up of Year 6 girls ran the sessions, coaching girls from Year 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. All together 120 girls were outside playing football. The Girls Football Team showed fantastic leadership skills and all the girls really enjoyed the sessions with many saying they would like to continue playing football in the future.
