Chairperson of Butterwick Pinchbeck’s Endowed C of E Primary School
Welcome to the governor area of our website. My name is Louise Pearson. I am very proud to have served on the Governing Body for a number of years. Firstly as a parent governor and now as a foundation governor.
My job as the present chair is to work with the other governors of the Governing Body and the Head Teacher, as a team, to carry out our wide range of roles and responsibilities efficiently and effectively for the benefit of our young people in the School and the education service.
Every term there is at least one meeting of the Full Governing Body and the following committees: Teaching and Learning Committee, Finance and Management Committee (looks after the budget and finances) and Premises and Community Committee (connections with the community).
The role of the Governing Body at Butterwick Primary School is to :-
· Ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
· Holding the Head teacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils;
· Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.
We as a Governing Body do not lose sight of “Children First” and the schools vision :- Everyone is valued for their individuality, culture and diversity.

As chair I meet Mrs Towers (The Head Teacher) on a regular basis, attend school assemblies plus other functions inside and outside of school.
In order to educate our young people to their full potential I believe in a close working partnership between pupil, parent, school and the community and will endeavour to work to achieve this aim.

The Butterwick Trust was set up in 1665 and owns all the school buildings and land. Trustees of the Butterwick Trust are responsible for the School buildings and the land owned by the Butterwick Trust.
